What is XPoint Run

XPoint Run is an exciting mass multiplayer game that uses participants’ real-world geographical locations and group dynamics to complete a run.

An XPoint Run (or simply a Run) is an event created by a Run Administrator. Each Run has a defined start and end time, along with several checkpoints that participants must visit to complete it. To finish the Run, you must visit all checkpoints and ensure the app records your progress.

Anyone can participate in a Run.

The XPoint Run app tracks your geographical location in real time and automatically checks you in when it detects your presence within a checkpoint’s circular geofence.

Even when you’re not actively using your phone or tablet, tracking continues in the background — so you can enjoy your journey and check your progress at any time.

Unless specified otherwise by the Run Administrator, you can visit the checkpoints in any order.

Each checkpoint is represented as a circle of a defined radius on the real-world map. To progress and complete the Run, you must physically move and enter each checkpoint’s geofence area.

This app is the participant’s main tool — it lets you view Runs available in your country, register, join, and complete them.

Runs are created by Run Administrators, who may be individuals or organizations authorized by AI Management Ltd to create and manage events.

When you start the app, it will ask for permission to always track your location in real time — even when the app is closed or not in the foreground. You can choose to allow continuous tracking or restrict it to when you’re actively using the app.

The app does not record your location continuously. Instead, it maintains “location awareness” to detect when you enter a checkpoint area. It only records and sends checkpoint entry events to the Run Administrator. Your location privacy is taken very seriously — your detailed location data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it with other participants during a Run.

🂡 What happens when you enter a checkpoint?

When you enter a checkpoint’s geofence, the app draws a random card from a standard 52-card deck. Each participant has their own deck, ensuring every card draw is unique to their Run.

By visiting all checkpoints, you’ll collect one random card per checkpoint. At the end of the Run, participants’ hands are ranked using standard card-hand rules, and the best hand determines the winner.
